Are
there any situations that 365assist does not cover?
No. Whilst in general the service is designed for security or crime
related situations, we will never refuse to offer assistance regardless of the
nature of the query.
Our advice is that if a crime is imminent and persons are in
danger, or if a medical emergency has arisen you should contact the emergency
services directly using the appropriate emergency number.
Here is a list of the type of calls for assistance that we most
often encounter. These examples are divided these into four categories, however
the situations in which you can call us is by no means limited to these
situations:
1.Non-urgent
situations where advice or expertise is required, for example;
- Advice on the selection of alarm installers or locksmiths,
- Information on how crime trends might affect changes in company
routines such as extended opening hours,
- Changes in personnel who respond to alarm activations,
- Problems setting or un-setting alarm systems or other electronic
security,
- Queries regarding general criminal activity in the areas where
company facilities are located.
2. Serious situations where immediate advice or
assistance is required, for example:
- The detection of suspicious activity on or near company premises,
- Personal safety concerns when responding to alarm activations,
- Concerns by a key holder about personal safety or security,
- The discovery of a burglary upon opening a company facility,
- Employees requiring post robbery security support or counselling,
- Other security or crime related concerns that may occur when
senior managers are absent from company premises.
3. Situations where crime, terrorism or other
hostile actions are being directed against an organisation rather than against
individuals;
- An extortion threat directed against company assets,
- The receipt of a bomb threat telephone call,
- Organised theft of proprietary information,
- Direct action groups such as animal rights activists,
eco-warriors, anti-capitalists etc target a company,
- A hostile take-over bid is launched against a company.
4. Extremely serious occurrences that require the
implementation of pre-determined response, including:
- Detection of possible surveillance at or near an employee's home,
- An ongoing tiger kidnap incident,
- The report of a tiger kidnap incident having occurred,
- An ongoing kidnap-for-ransom situation.
How often can I use the service?
There is no limit to the number of calls that you can make.
Who has access to 365assist?
The service is available only to selected employees of subscribing
organisations and their immediate family members. We encourage you to make your
partner and older children aware of the service, because in the past employees
have become victims of serious incidents of crime such as hostage taking and
kidnapping, and the only person that they have been able to contact without
alarming the criminals has been their partner or spouse.
Are there any times that the service is not
available?
No. We recognise that emergencies can often occur outside of normal
business hours. Consequently our on-call advisors are available on a 24-hour,
365-day basis, to respond not just to actual incidents, but also to offer
advice and support where personnel have any concerns.
For whom do I ask when I call the 365assist
number?
The call will initially be answered by one of our Control Room
Operators who will take your name and the number that you are calling from, (in
case the call is disconnected) and will then transfer your call to an on-call
advisor.
Our on-call advisors are trained to respond quickly to concerns,
verify that there is or is not something to be concerned about, and take
appropriate action to reduce any immediate danger which might exist.
Will 365assist accept reverse charges calls?
Yes. Many of our subscribers travel extensively, and sometimes
encounter adverse situations when abroad, for example being a victim of a
mugging. Not having any cash, credit cards, or identification and not speaking
the local language can make such an experience all the more traumatic.
Consequently, 365assist accepts reverse charges calls from subscribers.
