365assist
is a CMG service designed to bring clarity, organisation and support to
personnel or organisations during times of crisis, conflict, or simply
where the issues involved are beyond the experience and confidence of the
personnel dealing with them.
In the
past CMG has responded to many types of incidents for its clients. These
have ranged from kidnap and extortion incidents to bomb threats,
robberies, hostile take-overs, and violent incidents directed against
personnel. Other incidents
have been less dramatic, but equally important from the perspective of the
person seeking assistance, for example, finding that your laptop or wallet
has been stolen whilst on a business trip, or even non-urgent issues like
being concerned about your surroundings in a new city. A common factor has
been that our expertise has enabled the swift resolution or containment of
serious or potentially serious incidents. CMG has established 365assist to
offer help in any situation where you or your personnel don't feel
confident in dealing with the issues and challenges involved.
365assist
exists in three formats as follows:
This
is the most fundamental incarnation of our service. Essentially comprising
a 24hour on demand security advisory and response service for
organisations or individuals, the features of 365assist
include:
w
The
service is available on a 24 hour, 365-day basis,
w
Our
control
room operator will put you in touch immediately with an on-call advisor;
you will not have to wait to be called back,
w
Our
on-call
advisors are trained to respond quickly to concerns, verify that there is
or is not something to be concerned about, and take appropriate action to
reduce any immediate danger or threat to corporate reputation that might
exist,
w
There
is no limit to the number of times you can contact us.
Frequently situations arise where it may be more
appropriate to establish a 365assist presence in close proximity to
personnel or other corporate assets that may be at risk. For example,
where a large number of company personnel are attending an event,
particularly in a foreign jurisdiction or where a number of senior
executives are gathering together for a board meeting or other corporate
function, or perhaps where an overseas trip to a volatile region is being
organised for a group of customers.
To
allow you to use our expertise to its best in such situations, we have
developed 365ground-assist. This service involves one or more on-call
advisors accompanying your party to its destination and providing an
"on-site" security advisory and response service for you.
Typical
elements of 365ground-assist include:
w
Conducting
pre-deployment security awareness briefings,
w Providing
a 24-hour in-country telephone number for reporting of adverse
incidents,
w
Ensuring
a 24-hour response to deal with adverse situations,
w
Providing
one or more advisors to safeguard personnel,
w Identifying
and liasing with the security function within hotels and other service
providers to ensure optimum security of personnel,
w
Liasing
with local law enforcement agencies,
w Maintaining
liaison with CMG Head Office/US State Department/FCO/Department of Foreign
Affairs personnel where an ongoing or emerging situation exists in the
country being visited,
w
Generating
security alerts in response to or in anticipation of adverse
situations,
w
Collating
information for use in emergency situations,
w Establishing
protocols for dealing with adverse incidents of a life-threatening
nature.
Many corporations have experienced situations where
adverse events have occurred involving corporate personnel or assets in
more than one location, often at the same time. These situations have
often proven difficult to monitor and respond to because of the geographic
separation involved, or because the security department does not have an
on-the-ground presence in each location. 365world-assist is designed to
provide the organisation with timely information that can be used to
adjust and update response plans or to actually form part of the
organisation's incident response team.
Each situation to which we respond obviously has its
own unique characteristics, however the following components typically
apply :
w Establishing
a central clearinghouse for information relating
to
ongoing or emerging
incidents,
w Where
possible,
providing or facilitating a location-specific human intelligence
function,
w Collating
all incoming data, analysing open source and other material and generating
an intelligence product for use by the organisation in assessing its
immediate and longer terms responses to an incident,
w
Providing
a
liaison point, maintaining contact on the organisation's behalf with
in-country state agencies,
w
Providing
a
liaison point for communication with and between the organisation's
personnel,
w
Providing
independent perspectives for senior managers when conflicting views exist
internally as to how best to deal with
situations,
w
Delivering
expertise to senior managers in the affected countries in the absence of a
member of the organisation's security team.
